Who are you?

Who are you really? Think past the version of you that is shown at work, on the school run, at coffee meet-ups.

Who are you underneath the face you put on every day?

Underneath the smile that instinctively arrives when we see someone?

Something to think about on the bus, as you are cleaning, or walking the dogs.

Are you who you want to be?

Are you where you want to be?

Are you achieving what you want to?

If not, why not?

Now we all know the easiest answer would be to say money, and that's totally understandable, or time! Yes, another big factor.

But really? Are these what are stopping you from starting to feel like the real you? Or is it possibly just another little wall you have put up to protect yourself?

We all do it; we are so very good at using excuses not to start something because, really, we are already thinking we will fail. I could never start my own business, I could never afford my own place, I could never get that job promotion.

Does this sound like you? I know it's been me in the past. When we are little, we get asked, "What do you want to be when you are older?" Policeman, Doctor, Princess, Astronaut, Scientist.... the answers are all so amazing and exciting; however, somewhere along the lines, we have our dreams diminished little by little. It's so sad.

I understand we can't all get to be a Princess, but this doesn't mean you can't be treated like one, or treat yourself as precious as Royalty. What is stopping you from putting yourself first? Your life, your choices! What's stopping you from wandering around the house in the outfit you are saving for a special occasion? Or even wearing a tiara to do the cleaning, dog walking, and school run?

What's the worst that could happen? A few strange looks? people whispering about you. I've seen people do the shopping in their pyjamas! Why can't you wear a Tiara?

Why have you stopped being who you really are? Treating yourself with the kindness and respect you give to others? Giving yourself the chance to start that business, write that book, save for a house.

So if you do anything today, write down below what you think you would like to do. Even if you don't know how to even begin, write it down, and start being the real you! Life is too short to "do it later" or "next year" What's wrong with right now?
